Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to JusTalk products and features, including instant messaging, voice/video calls, Moments, and other optional functions.
Our services are available worldwide. For users located in the European Union (EU) or the United Kingdom (UK), JusTalk processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and relevant privacy laws.

Information We Collect
(1) Information You Provide
- Account Information: username, date of birth, and optional profile photo.
- Login & Recovery: optional email address or phone number for sign-in or password recovery.
- Optional Details: country or region, gender, etc.
- Content Information: your messages, calls, Moments, photos, videos, comments, and likes.
- Customer Support: information you provide when contacting us.
- Email Information: If you provide your email during registration, login, or campaign participation, we may use it to send service notices or updates. You can unsubscribe anytime via the “Unsubscribe” link in the email or by contacting [email protected]. We do not sell or share your email with third parties.
(2) Information We Collect Automatically
- Usage and Diagnostics: how you use the app, settings, features, timestamps, and crash or performance logs.
- Device and Connection: device model, operating system, app version, language, IP address, and call quality metrics.
- Identifiers: JusTalk user ID and system advertising ID.
- Cookies: used to remember preferences and analyze traffic; not used for profiling or behavioral advertising.
(3) Information From Third Parties
- User Reports: we may receive reports from other users about content or accounts for safety review.
- App Stores and Analytics: installation and performance data provided by platforms or service providers.
How We Use Information
We use collected data to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve JusTalk services;
- Ensure communication safety and prevent misuse or fraud;
- Develop new features and enhance user experience;
- Notify users of service or policy updates;
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
We do not use message content for advertising or process sensitive information beyond what is necessary for service delivery.
Advertising and Analytics
We may display limited advertisements based on non-identifying data (such as language or app version) and your device’s advertising identifier.
We do not “sell” or “share” your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (as defined under California law).
You may reset or limit ad tracking in your device settings.
Third-Party SDKs
We integrate the following third-party SDKs (including but not limited to):

- Advertising: AdMob, Meta Audience Network, MoPub, Unity Ads
- Analytics: Umeng (Umeng+), Firebase

We regularly publish the latest SDK list and corresponding privacy policies on our website or within the app. All third-party partners are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection requirements.

- To deliver communications to your chosen recipients;
- With service providers under binding confidentiality and security obligations;
- To comply with legal requirements or protect user safety; or

User Content and Intellectual Property
When you upload, send, or share images, videos, custom emojis, stickers, GIFs, or other materials via JusTalk, you must ensure that you have the legal right or authorization to use them.
You must not upload, post, or distribute any content that:
- Infringes others’ intellectual property, portrait, or privacy rights;
- Contains copyrighted works you are not authorized to use;
- Uses trademarks, logos, or other protected symbols without permission; or
- Violates applicable laws or JusTalk’s Terms of Service.
JusTalk strictly prohibits the creation or distribution of unauthorized images or emojis and may remove such content or suspend accounts without prior notice.
Repeated infringement may lead to account termination and we will respond to valid copyright takedown requests (such as under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act, DMCA).
You retain ownership of the content you create, but by using JusTalk you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and transmit such content solely for the purpose of providing and operating the Services.
Cross-Border Data Transfers
We operate globally and may transfer your personal data to servers or service providers located in other jurisdictions. To protect your data, we implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including:
- Contractual safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where applicable;
- Encryption during transmission and storage;
- Access control and data minimization;
- Regular security audits and assessments.

- Messages: Deleted after delivery; undelivered messages retained for up to 15 days.
- Account Information: Kept while the account is active or as required by law.
- Moments and Media: Stored until you delete them or close your account.
- Logs: Retained for a limited period for security and performance purposes.
Children’s Privacy
Our complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other regional child-privacy laws.
We do not collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

In the EU, users aged 13–16 may require parental consent to enable certain features.
EU Digital Services Act (DSA)
For EU users, JusTalk provides mechanisms to:
- Report illegal content;
- Appeal moderation decisions; and

JusTalk does not deliver targeted advertising to minors and complies with DSA transparency obligations.
Automated Decision-Making
We may use algorithms to recommend contacts or groups that may interest you.
You can turn off these recommendations in Settings and object to such processing where permitted by law.
Your Choices
You may at any time:
- Revoke app permissions (contacts, camera, microphone, location, etc.);
- Reset your advertising identifier or limit ad tracking;
- Clear cookies;
- Delete your account via App → Profile → Settings → Account → Delete My Account, or by contacting [email protected].
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If significant changes are made, we will notify you via in-app notice or email.
Where required by law, we will obtain your explicit consent before applying such updates.
